Amit Grover
Amit is an entrepreneur and a conscious venture capitalist actively building a food security fund with a strong ESG and impact focus. With over 25 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience in marketing, management consulting, and venture capital, Amit has held leading roles in MNCs such as ITC Ltd, Lavazza Coffee, and Pernod Ricard. Distinguished with a full-time MBA from the University of Wellington, New Zealand, Amit plunged into entrepreneurship in 2009, founding Grover & Company, a boutique IP (Intellectual Property) strategy practice that works with Australian and New Zealand SMEs to build, structure and monetise IP globally. In 2024, Grover & Company launched two Tri-lateral programs between the UAE and Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands to establish cutting-edge deep-tech IP-backed Ventures in the UAE and create a capital corridor to introduce venture capital in the DIFC and ADGM. In a personal capacity, Amit works with several organisations both within the UAE and internationally, imparting his global experience and knowledge. Some of these organisations are (A) in5 Tech: Amit acts as a steering committee member filtering startup cohorts for in5-tech; (B) Founder Institute: Amit mentors startups that get accepted in the UAE seasonal cohort; (C) Encubay: Amit mentors women entrepreneurs on the startup lifecycle journey and (D) ANZINC: Amit is the New Zealand Chairman of the Australia New Zealand India Chambers, which promotes venture and capital flow between India, Australia, and New Zealand. Today, Amit plays an active role as an impact advisor and thought leader in the UAE, advocating for environmental, economic, and social causes such as food security and gender equality through women-focused incubation programs and as a General Partner of Grover Impact Ventures, a food security focused impact fund.
