Roseline Mapuranga's career journey began in the construction industry, where she started as a construction manager and eventually established her own construction company in 2010. Her company undertook projects across multiple provinces in South Africa, including Limpopo, Gauteng, North West, and Eastern Cape, solidifying her reputation as a capable leader in the sector. In 2018, Roseline's professional path took a significant turn when she was introduced to aquaponic farming, igniting her passion for climate-smart agriculture. Eager to deepen her knowledge, she pursued studies in Hydroponic and Tunnel production at Tshwane University of Technology, aiming to integrate sustainable farming practices into her business ventures. Roseline's dedication to advancing her skills led her to enroll in Agri-business Management at the prestigious Gordon Institute of Business Science in 2022, sponsored by Corteva Agri-science. This experience equipped her with strategic insights essential for scaling her agricultural initiatives. In 2023, Roseline was selected by the U.S Department of State for a prestigious fellowship program at Michigan State University, where she joined a cohort of African leaders from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Rwanda. This program focused on fostering innovation and leveraging technologies to enhance agricultural practices and promote circularity within the sector. Today, Roseline Mapuranga stands as a trailblazer in sustainable agriculture, integrating cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches to drive positive change. Her journey exemplifies resilience, entrepreneurship, and a steadfast commitment to sustainable development in South Africa and beyond.
